Lawrence Sutton collection, 1917-1919.

Transcript of more than 100 letters written by Sutton to his parents in Grover Hill, Ohio between 6 Oct. 1917 and 9 Feb. 1919 and several letterswritten to Sutton by fellow soldiers after the war, chiefly relating to his experiences during his training at Camp Sherman (near Chillicothe, Ohio) from Oct. 1917 to May 1918 when he was ordered to Camp Merritt in New Jersey, and his service with the 329th Infantry at headquarters near Paris during the war.
